Author Michael Tougias

Thursday   TIME:  7:00 pm to

Tougias will give a slide presentation and talk on his latest book, A Storm Too Soon: A True Story of Disaster, Survival & Incredible Rescue. Tougias will chronicle how 70-foot waves battered a tattered life raft 250 miles out to sea in one of the world’s most dangerous places, the Gulf Stream. Hanging onto the raft were three men, a Canadian, a Brit, and their captain, J.P. DeLutz, a dual citizen of America and France. Tougias is an award-winning author of 20 books with Simon & Schuster, including several true survival thrillers “Fatal Forecast,” “Overboard!” and “Ten Hours Until Dawn.” His next book, Rescue of the Bounty: Disaster and Survival in Superstorm Sandy will be released in early April.
