The Big Quiz Thing returns to Ivoryton!
TIME: 7:00 pm
to 10:00 pm
The Big Quiz Thing is coming Saturday, November 10! The Ivoryton Library is selling tickets to its second Big Quiz Thing Trivia Night. The Big Quiz Thing is a multimedia live trivia game show hosted by the dynamic Noah Tarnow. It is a popular sensation in NYC, Boston and now LA. The Ivoryton Library is excited to bring this cultural event to the Incarnation Center.
It is all the fun of Jeopardy!, except that you get to play and hang out with your friends! Form a team or come as a single or a couple and well team you up!
Teams test their knowledge on the best trivia content in the businessfrom music to history, from sports to the completely indefinablewith the ultimate prize: the Ivoryton Elephant trophy!
We play in six rounds, with Noah reading the questions and displaying them on the big screen; you collaborate as a team and write down your answers on your Big Quiz Thing Answer pad. (Nobody shouts out anything, nobodys dragged onstage and embarrassed.)
It all culminates in the Lightning Round, followed by the Three-Way Finale. Between rounds, we take quick breaks to add up the scores and let you drink and socialize.
Noah Tarnow is the Big Quiz Things quizmaster, producer and writer; it is his cluttered mind from which the BQTs trivia springs. Hes been called a geek savant (Gawker), an impish impresario (Citysearch) and the trivia king of New York City (his sister). He has hosted quiz events both major and minor throughout the city and around the country, and was a contestant on both the VH1 game show Name That Video (championwon a car) and Jeopardy! (second placecurse you, Trebek!) Elsewhere and elsewhen, hes the chief copy editor for Time Out New York, has appeared in Rolling Stone and Jane, a stand-up comedian, and a karaoke singer of stunning ferocity.
