Firestarter by Stephen King (1980). Charlie McGee inherited pyrokenetic powers from her parents who had been given a low grade hallucinogenic while at college. Now the government is trying to capture young Charlie and harness her powerful firestarting skills as a weapon. Dr. Phil Ray, Associate Professor of English at Connecticut College will lead all book discussions in this series.
