Crime Victim Support Training Program

Crime victim support training for hospital staff, clergy, chaplains and community groups will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. June 4 in the Baker Auditorium at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.
Lawrence + Memorial Emergency Department and the Office of Pastoral Care and the Homicide Survivors Support Group of New London, along with contributions from clergy and chaplains, will address the impact of violent crime along with the ways that emergency department staff, hospital social services, clergy and community groups can assist with acute and longer term needs. The goals of the training are to empower care providers and to encourage the development of faith based and community support services.
The program will include guest speakers, video clips, and a ten page program book with suggestions to assist crime victims and community resources.
There is no fee to attend. A $10 voluntary donation is suggested with all proceeds going to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Social Services.
