The Essex Steam Train will operate its annual Eagle Flyer eco-excursion on President's Day Weekend, February 16 & 17, 2013. This unique journey through the Connecticut River Valley is a great way to enjoy fresh air and catch a glimpse of local wildlife with the whole family. The 2 ½ hour trip begins with a Vintage Diesel Locomotive 0900 at Essex Station. Train riders can hop aboard along with a group of Master Wildlife Conservationists from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. These expert naturalists will act as guides, teaching riders about our national symbol, the Bald Eagle, and its migration south to the Connecticut River Valley.
