McCook Point Park Beach, 8-10 Atlantic St., Niantic, CT
An Easter Sunrise Labyrinth Walk will take place following a 6 a.m. ecumenical worship service at McCook Point on Sunday, March 31. The worship service is held high in the upper level of the park while the labyrinth will be set up on the beach below. Construction of the classical style, seven circuit labyrinth will be overseen by Niantic Community Church labyrinth ministry members Susan Laurencot and Joanne Moore. They will work with a team of community volunteers on Saturday, March 30 to construct the carefully planned design.
Constructed of beach stones, driftwood and other organic findings this is a rare opportunity to walk this sacred path by the seaside. The labyrinth will be available throughout the morning until around 11 a.m. and the event is free. All are welcome. McCook Point is located at 8-10 Atlantic St, Niantic. Anyone interested in helping with construction can contact Moore at email@example.com.
After an early worship and sacred walk, folks can stop by Niantic Community Church for a hearty pancake breakfast being held by the youth ministry until 11 a.m. A free will offering is requested. NCC opens its doors for Easter worship at 9:00 a.m. with communion services at 7:30 and 11:15 a.m. The church is located at 170 Pennsylvania Avenue, Niantic.
