Mystic & Noank Library, 40 Library Street, Mystic, CT
Poet Norah Pollard will speak at the Mystic & Noank Library as part of the Connecticut Authors Trail. Pollard is the author of three books of poetry, “Death and Rapture in the Animal Kingdom,” “Report from the Animal Hospital,” and “Leaning In.” Wally Lamb calls her books “highly recommended.” Pollard's poetry delves into the world of animals and nature. She is the daughter of famed jockey, Red Pollard. She recently joined poet Edward Hirsch for a reading at the Arts Café Mystic. The annual Connecticut Authors Trail has organized a wide-ranging group of local authors to speak at Eastern Connecticut libraries during July and August. The poetry reading will be followed by question and answers. It is free and open to the public. For more information, call or email the Library.
