The Food for Thought Book Discussion group of the Bill Memorial Library will host a discussion of The Dirty Life, the One Book, One Region selection for 2014 on Tuesday, September 9, at 1pm at the Par Four Restaurant at the Shennecossett Golf Course. The discussion will be led by long time group leader Donna Johnston. The event is open to the public, and all are invited to attend. Participants are encouraged to have lunch or dessert while enjoying a lively talk. The Dirty Life, by Kristin Kimball, is a memoir of a New York journalist who set off on an interview of a farmer that changed her life.
The sponsoring organization, the Bill Memorial Library, is located at 240 Monument Street in the City of Groton, adjacent to Fort Griswold in Historic Groton Bank. Hours are Monday and Thursday 10-9, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10-5, and Saturday 10-3. For more information call the library at 860-445-0392.
