Canada’s pre-eminent comic playwright Norm Foster has written a clever and witty dialogue celebrating the pursuit of love, the kind of love that makes you breathe just a little bit faster. The is about a community theater group who find themselves missing half the cast for a performance of MacBeth and quickly throw together an ad lib performance of Shakespeare meets Scrooge and Christmas.

Berklee World Strings Workshop for All Ages

Berklee World Strings Workshop for All Ages; Waterford High School, Rope Ferry Road, , Waterford, CT , 06385

The flagship string orchestra of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Berklee World Strings features players from all over the world playing rhythmic and improvised music from a variety of world cultures. The free participatory workshop and demonstration will be presented for strings players of all ages from 3-5 p.m., It will introduce first steps of improvising for classically trained players, and will include learning a couple of international folk tunes by ear. Drawing from Celtic, bluegrass, jazz, rock, and classical styles, the ensemble presents original programs that include new compositions and arrangements from a wide variety of the world’s music. The concert will take place later that evening beginning at 7:30 PM.

Directed by cellist and four time Grammy Award-winner Eugene Friesen, BWS features an international collection of Berklee’s most accomplished and promising soloists, chamber players and fiddlers selected by audition.
